JustOne Approach

As our name suggests, we provide just one consultant per assignment who will train, coach and manage selected client staff to act as Internal Consultants (ICs) so they have the skills to facilitate the implementation phase of the improvement project.

Although the JustOne approach is based on providing just one consultant per assignment, with global programmes there may be several assignments (based on businesses or geography) with a JustOne consultant leading each assignment. JustOne people are all experienced Project Directors, with specialised knowledge of working capital and change management.

Stage A. Discovery - Validation of the issues and indication of potential benefits

1. JustOne will visit 3 separate entities that are representative of the clients OWC situation.
2. A Discovery report will be produced for each entity covering – findings, recommendations and targets. The report is then validated by local management.
3. JustOne will use the reports to estimate the potential benefits of a global implementation and present the findings to the the client's Board of Directors.

Stage B. Set Up – Establishing the leadership and development of Internal Consultants.

4. JustOne will support the setting up of a Driving Team to provide effective leadership for the project – urgency, vision, communication, visibility and accountability.
5. JustOne will assist with the selection of Internal Consultants (ICs) and train them in the technical, project management and the change management aspects of the project.
6. JustOne will lead the Facilitation in a selected location with the ICs in attendance. This consolidates their training – they see the theory put into practice.

Stage C. Implementation – Making the change happen everywhere it is needed.

7. The ICs will Facilitate the change. - They use workshops, training and coaching to provide each entity with everything they need to make the change and achieve the targets set by the ICs. The ICs will leave behind an agreed Action Plan with each entity.
8. The local management will be accountable for implementing the Action Plan to the agreed time scales.
9. When complete the ICs will return, review the actions and close the project. They will agree a return visit in 6 months to ensure that the people have not reverted to their old habits. The review visits will be repeated until the IC is convinced that the changes are embedded in the culture of the old organisation – the old habits have been replaced by new ways of thinking and working.
